We are known as specialists in innovative products made from hexagonal boron nitride, a high-temperature-resistant industrial ceramic. Staying at the forefront through forward-thinking ideas, new technologies, and state-of-the-art equipment—this aptly describes the motivation of the company’s founder, Peter Henze.
As a family-owned business based in the Allgäu region, we have successfully established ourselves on the global market since 1993 and today supply more than 30 different industries with:
- Precision technical components made of sintered boron nitride and boron nitride composite ceramics
- liquid boron nitride coatings
- Lubricant additives / Boron nitride in oil
- Boron nitride sprays
- Boron nitride powder
- Hotpress Services
At our facility in Lauben near Kempten, we currently employ approximately 60 people across roughly 3,500 square meters of office and production space. Henze BNP recognized early on that the key to sustainable success lies in our own employees. It is they who work together every day to keep our company on a growth trajectory. For this reason, it is important to us that we keep our employees healthy and motivated.
What we offer you
Support, safety, and appreciation—these are the values we live by at Henze BNP! Here, every employee is given the opportunities they need to balance their professional and personal lives and to grow professionally:
- Flexible work hours and the option to work remotely help ensure a good work-life balance
- Ergonomic workstations and membership in EGYM Wellpass promote good health
- Team events, such as our annual barbecue or our end-of-year party, strengthen team spirit and camaraderie
- Personalized development and training opportunities help employees further build on their strengths and skills
For us, strong teamwork and a close-knit team come first! That’s why we prioritize flat hierarchies and a casual, informal atmosphere at every level. We firmly believe that mutual support and a foundation of trust create a family-like work culture.
Apprenticeships at Henze
Since we prefer to train tomorrow’s skilled workers ourselves, it is important to us that our trainees feel comfortable while achieving the greatest possible learning success.
That’s why our trainees work independently on exciting projects from day one. At the same time, we know that the transition from school to the working world can be challenging. That’s why we provide comprehensive on-the-job training and are always available to answer questions and address concerns. Our trainers and trainees work together as equals.
Our primary goal is to hire our trainees permanently after they complete their training. That’s why our trainees are warmly invited to all company events—whether it’s a barbecue or an end-of-year party—so they can become part of the team as quickly as possible.
Technical training
Our apprentices work in our production facilities, where they learn how to handle boron nitride ceramics and become familiar with our production processes. Over time, they rotate through all production departments to become an integral part of the manufacturing process. Our in-house training workshop rounds out the program for our apprentices.
“Programming, turning, milling, and measuring—the various steps involved in manufacturing boron nitride components make this profession exciting and varied.”
Boris Bezgachev-Gross, machinist
“The tasks as an apprentice at Henze are varied and diverse. From day one, I’ve been encouraged, supported, and valued.”
Denise Bergner, Office Administration Specialist
We take responsibility
Sustainable and environmentally conscious practices are part of our identity. We view sustainability as an ongoing process that must be continually optimized. That is why we are always looking for ways to make our production even more environmentally friendly. Our in-house PV system covers more than 70% of our electricity needs. We purchase the remaining amount entirely from renewable sources. In addition, since 2023, thanks to a sophisticated energy recovery concept, we have been able to manufacture BN sintered bodies up to 40% more energy-efficiently than with the conventional process.
Since 2021, we have been a member of the Economy for the Common Good, adopting an innovative approach that views our success not only in monetary terms but also takes corporate responsibility into account.
